Paula Hamood on Airtime Z

Renowned Australian showjumper Paula Hamood will be this year’s guest interstate riding judge at the 2017 Horseland Young Showjumping Championships, 24 & 25 June in Brookleigh’s indoor arena.

Competing at the elite levels of international and national competition for more than 20 years, Paula is also a highly respected breeder, trainer and coach, based at the family’s extensive Glen Haven Park in Queensland. Vastly experienced judging young horse competitions, she has officiated at multiple Dressage & Jumping with the Stars. This year, we’re pleased to have Paula join local WA Grand Prix riders/horse breeders Matt Godwin and Neil Ozanne on the judging panel for SRSJC’s young horse classes.

Competition will be hotly contested across the 4, 5, 6 and 7 year old classes, with entries including young horses that have already started to make their mark in WA and Eastern States events, plus exciting four year olds debuting at this show. The seven year old group includes two imported stallions who already have progeny on the ground in WA – but the event is really a showcase for Australian breeding, with studs from throughout the country represented across the age groups.

Super Spectator Event with Tempting Trade Village

There’s plenty of seating in Brookleigh’s indoor grandstand for spectators to watch this fabulous event during Saturday’s Age Classes and, especially, on Sunday – when Paula will ride the winners of the four age classes in The Final Four to determine the overall 2017 Champion Young Showjumping Horse.
