Hot off the heels of designing Waratah’s great World Cup track in Sydney, Michael Haese turns his talents to once again creating course magic at SRSJC’s 2019 Annual Championships. This is the third year in a row Michael has designed for SRSJC and his second consecutive SRSJC Championships. The in-form, international FEI-3 designer is highly sought-after at major Australian shows – and a draw card at all of them.
Pre-entries for SRSJC’s Annual Championships rolled in quickly, with SRSJC Club Members taking advantage of their early entry codes to snap up coveted spots during the two-day event in Brookleigh’s wonderful outdoor arena. Quick-selling general entries followed, after opening at 7AM, MONDAY 26 AUGUST at http://www.globalentriesonline.com.
“Entries usually flood in fast for this event each year,” said Club spokesperson and Chair, Suzanne McGill. “We try to accommodate all riders wanting to enter classes, so it pays to contact us about waitlists if classes are full because there are usually some scratchings before the show.” Competitors won’t have long to wait to know if their entries are accepted this year, with General Entries closing less than a week later at 5pm, Saturday, 31 August. Any queries about entries, changes or scratchings should be texted to Nanette at 0417 902 734 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
There’s been great jumping at SRSJC shows this season and tight competition is expected across the weekend in classes that include SRSJC’s Youth, Junior, Young Rider and Amateur Championships, EWA Jumping Silver Series and Horse of the Year Qualifiers, Australian National Young Rider Selection Qualifier, Table-C Speed Stakes, and open 1.05-1.40m classes – the highlight being SRSJC’s iconic 1.40m The Patersons Plate.
“We’re so grateful to our loyal sponsors, old and new, who make it possible to put on our events, led by our Foundation and Lead Sponsor, Patersons Securities. There’s no way we could specialise in higher level jumping in a single ring without their amazing and generous support!”
