Long-serving SRSJC Chair Suzanne McGill and Patersons Securities Director Murray McGill, congratulate 2019 Patersons Plate winners Chelsea McInnes & Diamond B Vigo.

After serving on SRSJC’s organising committee for 12 years and seven years as the Chair, club co-founder Suzanne McGill has stepped down from her official roles.

“I’ve loved being part of the club since Julie Isbister, Les Bunning, Gail Hellier, Gerry Miocovich and I launched it in 2008. It’s been a central part of my life for 13 years as an organiser, leader and sponsor, but the time is right for me to now focus on other things. We’ve got a young and really dynamic committee to carry on Swan River Showjumping’s legacy as WA’s most innovative club. They’re already spreading their wings with fantastic plans underway for events to develop and promote jumping in 2020, especially for higher level horses. I know they will continue thriving with Nanette Hollis at the helm.”

Previous Vice Chair and Treasurer, Nanette was unanimously elected Chair of SRSJC, with Georgie Siciliano now becoming Vice Chair, Lucy Rowe taking over as Treasurer and Emma Isbister continuing in her role as Secretary. SRSJC OC members Matilda O’Connor and Lauren Prater will now also be joined by two new members, with the club warmly welcoming Nadia Hadwen and Carl Smith onto the committee. They step on board as another long-standing OC member, Sarah Isbister, steps down, having relocated to Bunbury.

SRSJC’s season kicks off early in 2020 with the club’s continuing joint venture with Perth Polo at Kings Meadow Polo Field in Guildford  – its second annual Jumping & Polo in the Meadow. Watch this space for upcoming news about this fabulous event!
